Dreher High School vs AC Flora High School
2 1

Actually, that’s exactly what happened.

Only Dreher High sent a participant against the AC Flora Girls Golf Team today, October 8th, 2018, so the competition was somewhat sparse, even though The Blue Devil was impressive. The result was another Region Title for Our Girls, however, who deserved it.

This reminds me of Hoover’s defense of Delta Tau Chi when he said, “The Deltas have a long history of existence here at Faber.” Dean Vernon Wormer and Chairmen Neidermeyer and Marmalard simply did not understand.

The Good Part: Our Falcons played very well before they ramble down Interstates 26 and 95 to Hilton Head Island, The Island of Accents, to take a talented field for the South Carolina Lower State Championship!!

Golf is a game of courtesy, yet very competitive. Congratulations to Jordan Guyton of Dreher High School, who shot an incredible 75, earning Medalist Honors, as well as winning her fourth straight Regional Title. All Falcons send out our congratulations and respects!

Winners respect winners.

For Our Girls, it was a very respectful day heading to Hilton Head, with Bonnie Chapman posting 80, making All-Region, Kaitlyn Stonehill’s 88, making All-Region, Sara McInnis’ 90, making All-Region, and Meadows Dargan’s 90, All- Region. Gracie McCoy’s solid score of 93 rounded out a great day for the Falcons.

We carded a 348, our best round of 2018, and are hunting ducks with a rake.

“It was a great day for the Falcons,” said Legendary Head Coach Robert Dargan, with prolific depth.

We are Heading to Hilton Head! and the Lower State Championship at Barony Golf Club on Monday, October 15th, 2018, to soar with confidence.

“The Girls are hitting their stride. We hope to peak over the next two weeks,” waxed Legendary Head Coach Robert Dargan, philosophically. “Our record is 29-17-1, and yet we hope to improve!”

Assistant Coach Blair Dargan, along with Former Assistant Head Coach, Kristen Maffei (former All Region), and current Junior Double Assistant Double-Nought Spy Deputy Twice Removed Day Coach, Mary Lide Dargan, helped the Falcons post the win.

Mary Thomas Blackstone and Charlotte Little, both current Falcons, came out to support their Sisters in Golf!

To quote one of the most prolific online recap posters of all-time, possibly the best, we need a Hall of Fame soon before everyone else catches up, me, “Golf is cool.”
