The AC Flora Athletic Booster Club’s annual Homecoming BBQ Fundraiser is this Friday (10/4) before our Falcons take on Crestwood. BBQ will be served from 5pm-7pm in the parking lot of Memorial Stadium. Plates will consist of BBQ, hash, rice, sweet potatoes, slaw, bread and tea. We invite you to bring chairs and tailgate with the Falcon Nation. Take-out plates will be available for those unable to stay for the game.
BBQ Tickets are $10 each and are being sold by all fall athletes (cheer, cross country, football, girls golf, swim, girls tennis & volleyball). All money or unsold tickets should be returned to the team parent or to the front office of AC Flora in the envelope provided no later than Monday (9/30). Please return money on time so they can give an accurate plate count to the BBQ caterer.
If you’re unable to purchase a ticket from an athlete, please contact Wendy Evans (803.530.9667). Checks should be made payable to the AC Flora Athletic Booster Club. Tents will be set up for serving and to-go bags will be ready if the weather is not suitable for tailgating. If you don’t have a ticket, walk-up plates will be available for $10 each on a first come, first serve basis.
All proceeds will help fund items provided by our Booster Club such as Sports Awards Nights (including trophies), Team Equipment Cycle, our sports photographer, the Pixellot automated video system, and other large ticket items used by and for our athletes. The Team Equipment Cycle is a 2-year cycle of funds allocated to each sport to assist with non-disposable equipment needs such as pads, timers, nets, goals, practice equipment, etc. Funds cannot be used for personal practice gear, t-shirts, meals, etc.
The AC Flora Athletic Booster Club also hosts Super Saturday in the spring which includes BBQ plates as well as entry to spring sporting events on campus. That date has not yet been set.
